Roof Repair
Improper step flashing is the leading cause of roof leaks at wall-to-roof transitions. Step flashing needs to be woven between shingle courses with each piece extending 4" above the shingle exposure. We see Brice homes where the last roofer used continuous L-flashing or just caulked the gap. That always fails. We tear it out and install proper step flashing with a kick-out diverter at the bottom per IRC R905.2.8.3.

Storm Damage Repair

New Roof Installation
New construction underlayment per IRC R905 and ASTM D226 (felt) or ASTM D6757 (synthetic). Ice barrier per ASTM D1970 required at eaves in climate zones with average January temperature below 25°F. We install ice and water shield regardless. It's cheap insurance against ice dams and wind-driven rain. Drip edge per IRC R905.2.8.5 on eave and rake edges. Proper starter strip with factory sealant for wind resistance from day one.

Metal Roofing
We install 24-gauge and 26-gauge steel standing seam panels in Galvalume and pre-painted finishes. Concealed fastener clips allow the panels to expand and contract with temperature changes without stress on the fasteners. That's why standing seam doesn't leak. The clips float.

Commercial Roofing
We install Carlisle SynTec and Firestone TPO membrane systems in 60-mil and 80-mil thickness over minimum R-25 polyiso insulation (more in climate zones requiring it). Seams hot-air welded at 900°F+ and tested with a seam probe. Fully adhered systems for wind uplift zones per FM I-90 or I-120. Mechanically attached for re-roofs over existing insulation. NRCA member, trained per manufacturer specifications.

Gutter Installation
We hang gutters with hidden hangers screwed into the rafter tails or fascia board every 24 inches max. No spike-and-ferrule, no exposed hardware. Proper pitch is 1/4" per 10 feet toward each downspout. Too flat and water sits. Too steep and it looks wrong.

Skylight Installation
VELUX FS (fixed) and VS (vented) skylights installed with EDL flashing kits for shingle roofs. The multi-step flashing integrates with the surrounding shingle courses per IRC R903.2. We frame the curb with doubled 2x8 or 2x10 lumber (depending on rafter depth), install ice and water shield membrane around the entire curb perimeter, then set the skylight with factory sealant before weaving step flashing into the field. Top headwall flashing tucks under the upslope shingle course. Bottom sill pan diverts water onto the downslope shingles. Zero exposed sealant joints. Mechanical flashing only.
